You're getting married - YAY
You need to invite people. You've looked for invitations, but you're not even sure what you need to do. I'm here to help.
Hello!
Hello!
My name is Laura Mays and I am the owner and creative director behind Invited by LamaWorks. Stop searching for the answers, I've got you covered. I consider myself a bit of an invitation matchmaker. You tell me what you like from different suites, what your colors are and what your ideal budget is and I'll help you put together the package of your dreams.
Your wedding invitations should be perfect. They should be you and they should be able to tell your the story of your wedding. You want your guests to know from the minute that they get your invitation that it's at a beautiful museum ... or that you're having a casual garden wedding ... or that it's a formal affair rich in faith and tradition.
Your wedding is a brand and you want it to look cohesive from start to finish. From the styles of paper you use, to the colors, graphics and fonts - each element tells a story. It prepares your guests to wear heels and a formal gown, or to add flowers to their hair or to come dressed to impress.
I'm here to help.
Here's what we'll do ... together we will
1. Choose the paper and design elements that are important to you
2. Find font and color styles that speak to your personality
3. Work all of those pieces together to fit your ideal wedding budget
Getting started FAQ's
Do you offer samples?
Yes! You can purchase a sample of any invitation in the store. I do make them all ahead of time so that I can ship them out to you as soon as you order it, so I can't customize them to your colors or specifics, but I'm happy to include swatches of any paper colors you are thinking of using!
What if I just want to see the paper not a full invitation?
Paper swatches are always complimentary, so all you need to do is fill out the contact form below and let me know what colors you are thinking of using and where I can send them to.
When should I start my invitations?
Ideally, I'd start 6 months before your wedding, but I've worked with some really tight timelines before! Whatever you need, I'll make it happen.
How long does it take?
Most orders typically take about 4-6 weeks. Rush orders are available if you need them faster than that, I've gotten them out in as little as a week if that is something that you need.
What types of pockets do you offer?
I have a variety of standard and laser cut pockets available. A full guide is coming soon! For now, the full i
nvitation planning guide is the place to start.
What type of printing do you use?
Nearly all of my invitations are printed in house on a digital printer. Specialty, custom printing such as white ink, thermography, screen printing, letterpress, blind emboss, blind deboss and foil stamping are also available upon request.
How heavy is the paper that you use?
Most of the paper that I use has been designed specifically for the wedding industry. The colors range in weight from 90 lb to 120 lb card stock. Heavier weights are available for some printing methods.
What types of paper do you have?
I have nearly 300 colors available matte, shimmery, patterned, textured, glitter, foiled, cotton and vellum available.
How do I start my order?
If you know the design that you want to customize, all you need to do is fill out the form below the pictures on the product page. I'll send over a design board to make sure I have your ideas straight and we'll get moving from there!
Do you offer paper for my wedding day as well?
Yes! I love to coordinate your day from start to finish. Even if you don't see them for sale in the store, I can always design programs, menus, place cards, table numbers, thank you cards, favor boxes or any other paper product you might need, all you need to do is ask.
