Italian Garden Wedding with the Jane Collection

Sabrina and Luke’s Italian garden wedding in a Chianti castle was the epitome of la dolce vita. Towering cypresses, antique stonework, and traditional cuisine—plus heirloom-quality stationery, of course! We had the absolute honor of working with the couple to create save-the-date cards, invitations, and menus for their destination wedding. Let’s take a closer look at the thoughtful details and memorable moments from this special day.

Customizing the Jane Collection

After Sabrina and Luke found us, they quickly fell head over heels for the Jane Collection. With its refined color palette and vintage florals, it instantly transported them to Tuscany—think crumbling stone castles, sun-drenched vineyards, and the maze-like streets of Florence.

We designed their save-the-dates first, and Sabrina loved how the florals grazed the outer edge of the stationery. She chose to carry that same detail into the invitation suite, so we reimagined the invitation cards. Instead of the large bundle of flowers at the top—typical of this design—a lush botanical border delicately framed the text. We also tucked the suite into a sky-blue envelope, reminiscent of the wedding florals, rather than the standard white. We love it when our couples bring their own ideas to the table, creating a one-of-a-kind, semi-custom design!

Menus for a Destination Wedding

The tablescapes featured the Jane menu, a touch of dusty blue that coordinated beautifully with the centerpieces and leather luggage tag place cards. Menus were especially important at this wedding because of the main course, a classic Tuscan stuffed rabbit—something new to many guests! We always recommend menu cards for destination weddings, just in case your guests aren’t as familiar with the local fare. An Italian Garden Wedding with Timeless Design

Castello il Palagio, a 13th-century Tuscan castle, provided a storied backdrop for Sabrina and Luke’s wedding day. From the garden ceremony beneath mature trees to the courtyard reception aglow with string lights, a strong sense of place was woven throughout.

The couple opted for timeless colors reflected in their choice of the Jane Collection: ivory and dusty blue to complement the castle’s warm stone hues. Sabrina carried a bouquet of creamy white roses and dahlias paired with blue delphiniums, which also featured prominently in the ceremony design. Meanwhile, Luke and the groomsmen wore blue-and-white bow ties featuring the same floral artwork used on the invitations and menu cards. I provided the pattern to the designer, who then crafted the bespoke pieces—such a thoughtful detail that tied everything together beautifully.
