Summer Wedding Invitation Suite: Soft Blue and Blush Florals
When you envision a summer wedding invitation suite, a design brimming with beautiful florals likely comes to mind! That’s exactly what Jane and Aaron saw when they pictured their ideal wedding invitations for their August 2022 celebration. They selected one of our wedding stationery collections, the Ophelia, but wanted to put their own spin on the design. We worked with them to modify it until it became the invitation suite of their dreams! Today, we’re sharing a look into the semi-custom design process and the changes we made.
Customizing the Ophelia Collection
Jane and Aaron loved the overall look of the invitation suite in the Ophelia Collection, with its hand-painted pastel florals. They had seen plenty of invitations featuring pink florals, but not many that incorporated touches of blue. However, they wanted to soften the design by swapping out the capitalized serif font used in the original for something with a bit more whimsy. So, I sent them a list of my favorite fonts. They settled on a beautiful, looping script font, which we used to highlight their first names on the wedding invitation.
The couple also decided to upgrade from digital printing to letterpress. The luxe texture brought their chosen font to life! Incorporating a tactile element into their suite elevated its overall look and feel, solidifying its place as a cherished wedding heirloom.
In addition to their wedding invitation suite, Jane and Aaron invested in rehearsal dinner invitations and place cards from the Ophelia Collection. We incorporated the same floral elements from the invitation design into their place cards for a cohesive look. However, we placed the artwork in different locations to break up the sameness and add visual interest.

Semi-Custom Summer Wedding Invitation Suite
Soft and romantic, Jane and Aaron’s take on the Ophelia invitation suite was a perfect fit for their summer wedding. The blue, blush, and peach watercolor florals complemented their wedding color palette, while the laidback elegance of the script font paired beautifully with the sundrenched vineyard where they celebrated. We love this suite so much that we decided to submit it for a styled shoot! We designed a matching ceremony program and gift tags for the occasion, and tied a mauve satin ribbon around the invitation for a feminine touch.

Though we’re fond of the original Ophelia design, we loved working with Jane and Aaron to transform it into their vision for their summer wedding invitation suite!
